THE MISOGI

CHALLENGE

What is Misogi?

It’s not a workout.
It’s not a cleanse.
It’s a spiritual gut-check disguised as a challenge.

Originating from ancient Japanese Shinto rituals, Misogi was about purification — washing away the mental fog and physical stagnation to reconnect with your true self.

Today, we’ve reimagined it:

One hard thing that pushes you to the edge, so you come back stronger, clearer, and more you than ever.

The Rule of Misogi (Modern Version):

“Do something so hard, you’ll either finish it — or be forever changed in the attempt.”

This isn’t about beating your PB or hitting 10k steps. It’s about doing something you’re not sure you can do — and growing from the discomfort.

Modern Misogi Ideas:

  • Walk 30km barefoot on the beach

  • Train for a Muay Thai fight

  • Take 30 ice baths in 30 days

  • No phone for 7 days (yes, really)

  • Swim across something that scares you

  • Carry a 20kg sandbag up a mountain

  • Or… our favorite: 90 days of total life reset through ice, fire, and purpose

Why do the Misogi Challenge?
Because too many people play it safe.
Comfort zones = stuck zones.
Misogi shocks the system, strengthens the mind, and reminds you you’re capable of more than you think.
